Sugar Beach will be open this weekend, taking a break from our restorative hiatus. We can’t think of a better way to start the season than with the annual benefit, Hike for the Cure, Saturday, November 2. It’s just ¢6,000 to join and the proceeds go to ANASOVI and Movimiento Elige Vivir (Choose Life), two organization dedicated to helping women in their fight against cancer.

We’re offering a special deal to anyone who participates in the hike: Book the two nights (Nov 1st and 2nd) and we’ll donate one of those nights to ANASOVI and Elige Vivir. Email reservations@sugar-beach.com for more information.

The event kicks off on Friday at 6:00 pm, with a welcome reception at the Hotel Bahia del Sol, one of our co-sponsors. It’s a great way to meet people who are also dedicated to this important cause, and to hear the inspirational stories of cancer survivors.

The hike will start on Saturday morning at 8:30, departing from Playa Danta in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. We’ll walk a loop on the Las Catalinas trails, a family-friendly path with gradual gradients that go deep into cool ravines and high into the hills.

We’re glad to be back in our pretty hotel on the Pacific Cove. We hope you’ll stop by this weekend, say hello, and get some exercise for the Cure!
