At Sugar Beach Hotel, we seek to preserve the beauty and wildness of Playa Pan de Azúcar. Operating in the heart of the dry tropical forest, the important issues we face daily are water conservation, ocean health, and the protection of indigenous species.
Our Sugar Beach Best Practices serve to guide our staff and help our guests to also be aware of water and energy consumption. We wish to highlight the direct and indirect ways we support our staff, the local community, and our vendors in their sustainability efforts. Our guidelines reflect our commitment to protect the beauty and nature of Sugar Beach and to allow the environment to thrive.
Due to our sustainable efforts, Hotel Sugar Beach has been recognized with level 4, out of 5, on the CST Sustainability Certificate by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism. Also, Hotel Sugar Beach is the main protector of the Pan de Azúcar Beach, awarded a Blue Flag for its water purity, cleanliness, and beach preservation.
