We offer our hotel for private events, the entire 24 acres, beach & restaurant reserved for your celebration. Our hotel is perfect for weddings involving 50 to 90 guests who want to stay at the hotel. Your wedding party will fill our 30 rooms, suites and houses. For smaller weddings, we also offer services for semi private functions and for larger parties, we can find additional lodging within 3 kilometers of Hotel Sugar Beach.
Our staff is professional, friendly and experienced with wedding receptions and large groups. We also have available professional event organizers and wedding planners who can work with you to create and coordinate your dream wedding.

Our staff will assist you in creating a menu that covers a wide range of possibilities from appetizers catered on the beach served with tropical drinks or open bar, to Costa Rican specialties, fresh & delicious seafood entrees, BBQs, buffets, wedding cake and desert tables. Please contact us for ideas and prices. We are happy to work with you to provide a menu that will satisfy and please you!
The restaurant is located only 60 meters from the beach in an elegant open air rancho style building. Our rooms are located in the first 50 to 150 meters from the beach and situated for the best view of the ocean.
› Legal Requirements For Destination Weddings
- Current passports for Groom, Bride and Witnesses (obligatory / copies needed beforehand).
- Birth Certificates for Groom and Bride (dispensable).
- Single or divorce certificates for groom and bride (dispensable).
- If any one, groom or bride, has been married previously, a photocopy of the final Judgment executing the divorce (dispensable).
- In case the bride has been divorced from previous marriage during the previous 10 months from the wedding date, certifications issued by two official Costa Rican Physicians stating that she is not currently pregnant.
- Two witnesses at the ceremony. Anyone can serve you as witnesses even your close family or the Hotel employees (In case you do not have any witnesses the attorneys office can provide them for you without any additional cost).
- Fill out the wedding information questionnaire
